Fish health – what have we succeeded in, and what remains?

Alf Helge Aarskog shares his perspectives on Norway's second most important industry. He also says that there are still several challenges that need to be solved. The challenges include everything from parasites and escaped fish to environmental impact. He emphasizes that if we are going to produce fish, we must give the fish optimal biological conditions, both as individuals and as a group. Britt Hjeltnes talks about a sea lice problem that has existed for as long as we have been producing salmon, and about how the development of resistance has reduced the toolbox considerably. She points out that technology has developed a lot, and we are at the beginning of a new era in AI and technology, but reminds us that the fish must always be at the center.
