Hans Bjelland
As head of research at SINTEF, Hans Bjelland is responsible for aquaculture research, which includes technology for better fish welfare, production environment, robust constructions, advanced underwater robotics and instrumentation, and safety and risk management. Bjelland has broad experience from research and technology development for the aquaculture industry and leads, among other things, the Exposed Aquaculture Operation, a center for research-driven innovation. The center has been a long-term collaboration between around 20 partners to contribute knowledge and technology for safe, robust and efficient fish farming in exposed locations.
